About the book
Le avventure d'Alice nel paese delle meraviglie by Lewis Carroll was first published in 1865. In Passage you read the full text in Italian, marked beginner and filed under children and fantasy.
A White Rabbit with a pocket watch, a very deep hole, and a world where nothing stays the same size for long.
Bored on a riverbank beside her sister, Alice sees a White Rabbit hurry past, pull a watch from his waistcoat pocket and cry that he is late. She follows him down a rabbit hole and lands in Wonderland, where a drink makes her shrink, a cake makes her grow, and nothing makes sense for very long.
Soon she is swimming in a pool of her own tears, taking advice from a Caterpillar, sitting down to a mad tea party with the Hatter, the March Hare and the Dormouse, and playing croquet for the furious Queen of Hearts, who wants everyone's head cut off.
This is a classic nineteenth-century Italian translation of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, playful and old-fashioned, which turns Carroll's puns and rhymes into Italian. A delightful way to meet the most famous dream in literature.

Reading Le avventure d'Alice nel paese delle meraviglie in Passage
Passage sets the book as a quiet, paginated reader in Italian. Read at your own pace, and when a sentence stops you, tap it. You get:
- a natural translation of that exact sentence,
- a short note on the grammar, in plain words,
- the key words, which you can save with the sentence they came from,
- all of it in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Turkish or Portuguese, whichever you read best.
It's marked beginner, so it's a good first whole book if you know the basics of Italian and want something you can finish. The words you save come back later in short review games, so the book keeps teaching after you close it.
